(rev. 11/06)
-
All current associate,
affiliate, and youth members of AHBAO may compete. Points to count from date membership is paid. There
will be no entry fee to compete for these awards.
-
The competitive year
starts January 1st and ends December 1st.
Results for the competitive year must be post marked by
December 15th of that year.
Awards will be presented within two months of the cutoff date.
-
Each member is
responsible for returning a completed high point form to the high
point chairperson within thirty (30) days of the attended show, in
order for the points to count, or before December 15th, whichever
comes first.
The correct form must be used,
filled out completely.
Incomplete forms
may be disqualified. (Please
click here for a copy of the form.)
-
The points chairperson
is not responsible for points missed. Point
standings will be
published in the AHBAO newsletter at least once during the year so
members can check their totals for accuracy.
-
In case of a tie, the
winner will be the one having shown in the fewest number of classes.
If a tie still exists, the winner will be the one participating in
the largest number of shows.
-
Points to be earned
at any AHA show or open show
within Region 4 or 5 only.
AHBAO shows and Regionals (Regions 4 and 5 only) will receive double
points. Restricted classes not to count (i.e.,
Futurities, Sweepstakes Halter, Classic Head and AHA Medal classes,
4-H).
-
Divisions include
both Purebred and Half Arabian horses unless
separate divisions have been designated.
-

on points by the hour ridden, one point per hour, and will be
governed by the honor system. Recreational rider points count
in that division only.
-
Any disputes regarding the HIGH
POINT PROGRAM must be made in writing, and sent to the President
of AHBAO by December 1st of the current year. The decision of the
President and the AHBAO Board of Directors will be final.
